The Kawa Bench at 300mm height pairs beautifully with the Sora Sofa and most lounge settings. It works as a bench, hallway seat, or additional seating.

What is the lead time for my order?

Each piece is made to order. Estimated order-to-delivery is 8–12 weeks. We'll email you when production begins and when your order ships.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — DDP delivery to the US, Europe, Middle East, Japan, and Asia Pacific. Shipping and import duties are calculated at checkout. No surprise charges at delivery.

Can I see the pieces in person before ordering?

Visit our Tokyo showroom by appointment. Contact us to schedule a viewing where you can experience the craftsmanship firsthand.

What fabric options are available?

Standard upholstery is Kvadrat, included in the base price. For a premium upgrade, Dedar fabrics are available including velvet and bouclé. The cushion cover is removable for professional cleaning.

Who makes the Kawa Bench?

The Kawa Bench is designed by Mililab, an architecture and design studio based in Tokyo, Japan, as part of its ENWA collection of eight solid-oak pieces. Mililab applies the same edge geometry it uses in architecture to furniture, and ships direct, DDP, to 34 countries.

Each year, ENWA edits its upholstery palette as a considered season. These five surfaces are available for orders placed through 31 December 2026. A new upholstery edit begins in 2027; Kawa’s oak form remains.

The collection’s softened edge runs the full 1800 mm platform, giving a heavy solid-oak bench visual lightness. The cushion sits above it rather than hiding it.

Removable, replaceable and never glued shut: the textile can change; the oak platform is the permanent part.
