ENWA for Hospitality & Contract
ENWA is eight pieces of furniture, designed by a Tokyo architecture studio and made to order for hotels, restaurants, and contract spaces. Delivery to 34 countries with shipping and taxes included, and direct support from the studio that designed the furniture. Standard production takes approximately 8–12 weeks; shipping time is additional and varies by destination region.
Designed in Tokyo. Made to order. Quality-controlled by our Tokyo studio before every shipment.
Who this is for
ENWA's contract programme is written for the people specifying, procuring, and signing off on furniture for hospitality interiors:
- Hotel general managers, owners, design directors, and FF&E procurement leads — for new openings or refits where the furniture has to perform under daily use, look right in photographs, and arrive on time.
- Restaurant groups and chef-restaurateurs specifying for new openings or refits.
- Corporate facilities, real-estate developers, and reception-space designers who want pieces that read like architecture, not catalogue.
- FF&E procurement consultancies representing any of the above.
If you're a designer or architect specifying for a single client, our designer trade programme may suit you better.
The collection
ENWA is eight pieces — four seats and four tables — derived from computational structural simulation and resolved by hand. The forms are quiet on first read and reveal themselves under the hand. They suit lobbies, restaurants, lounges, suites, conference floors, and reception spaces equally.
- Seating: Ishi (stool), Yume (dining chair), Kawa (bench), Sora (sofa)
- Tables: Tsuki (low round), Shizu (low long), Maru (round dining), Sen (rectangular dining, 2200mm and 3200mm)
Made to order, checked by hand
The collection is panel-built from solid North American oak — machined to the computed curve, then resolved by hand. Forms are derived from computational structural simulation: Yume (dining chair, 200 iterations), Maru (round dining table, thousands of simulations, Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2026 winner), and six further pieces iterated through hundreds of simulations each.
Every piece is made to order. Production runs through a single long-term manufacturing partner the studio has worked with for seven years. Each piece is checked by our team against the design specification before it leaves the factory. If something isn't right, it doesn't ship.
That's the truth of how ENWA reaches you: a small Tokyo studio, one factory partner, and a piece-by-piece check before the container closes.
What's included on every order
Without asking, on every ENWA contract order:
- Studio inspection — each piece is checked against design specification by our team before it leaves the factory.
- delivery to 34 countries with shipping and taxes included — Mililab is the Importer of Record. Duties, freight insurance, and threshold delivery are settled at order; the price you see is the price you pay at the door.
- 20-year limited warranty — subject to the policy terms and exclusions, manufacturing defects in structure, joinery, load-bearing components, finish, fabric, and hardware are covered.
- Care guide ships in the box with every order, and is also live at mililab.co/care.
- Studio-direct support — for warranty, replacement parts, and care guidance, contact the same Tokyo studio that designed your pieces: studio@mililab.co.
Available on request, qualified projects
For shortlisted projects, typically 2–3 weeks lead time:
- Dimensional drawings per SKU.
- Fabric and finish samples to review in person.
- A care guide for the wood and the upholstery (also live at mililab.co/care).
"Do you have X?" — the honest answer
Hospitality and contract procurement runs on documentation — fire-test reports, stability certificates, country-specific compliance, freight and customs paperwork. Some of those we have. Most of them, today, we don't.
ENWA is a small Tokyo studio with one long-term manufacturing partner, not a multi-national contract supplier. We don't carry a binder of test reports for every jurisdiction. If you need a specific compliance document we don't already have, the honest answer is: we'll source it for you as a separate scope, with a real cost and a real lead time — or we'll tell you that we can't.
"Tell us the requirement and we'll come back within five business days with a yes, a no, or a quote."
What we don't do is invent. We won't list test reports we haven't run, certifications we don't hold, or paperwork we don't actually issue. If your project hinges on a specific document that isn't already covered in what's included on every order or available on request, write us before you commit — we'd rather lose the order than overpromise.
Lead times & minimums
Lead time
Standard production takes approximately 8–12 weeks from order confirmation to factory completion. Shipping time is additional and varies by destination region. Lead times for projects above 50 pieces or with custom configurations are quoted at the project briefing stage.
Minimums
There is no minimum order quantity for the contract programme. For US-bound upholstered pieces (Yume, Kawa, Sora), a minimum of 20 pieces per SKU is required at the contract tier to clear the US tariff structure on upholstered goods. Non-upholstered pieces (Ishi, Sen, Maru, Tsuki, Shizu) have no equivalent minimum.
Pricing
Contract pricing is set per project on application and is not published. Pricing follows project scope, quantity, finishes, and delivery destination. Discount levels are confirmed in writing on approved application — never quoted verbally or by email without an application on file.
