Located in the home of Longjing tea, we got this great opportunity of renovating an existing tea house in the hill of tea garden into a moderately modern and, in a way, traditional tea selling/tasting space with 2 VIP rooms and a main sales hall.
The rooms are given different themes featuring the local natural elements: bamboo (VIP-1), silk(VIP-2), and wood (hall).
龍井茶の本場に位置する私たちは、茶園の丘にある既存の茶室を改装し、2つの貴賓室とメインの販売ホールを備えた、適度にモダンで、ある意味で伝統的な茶の販売/試飲スペースにするという素晴らしい機会を得ました。
部屋には、竹 (VIP-1) 、絹 (VIP-2) 、木 (ホール) など、地元の自然をテーマにした異なるテーマが与えられています。
In the main hall, we boldly utilized the tree trunks in the raw form for the display shelf. The room blends into the environment nicely, even with modern glazing, furnishing, and lighting fixtures. To continue this theme of “natural wood, “we also used a similar craft for the meeting table.
The central lighting fixture also has the unique feature of a so-called “yakusugi“ glass, where the surface treatment of the glass is by the yakusugi (burnt wood) to give it an organic wood texture.
本堂では、展示棚に生木の幹を大胆に活用しました。モダンなガラス、家具、照明器具を使用しても、部屋は環境にうまく溶け込んでいます。今回のテーマである 「天然木」 を継承するため、ミーティングテーブルにも同様のクラフトを使用しました。
また、中央の照明器具は、有機的な木の質感を与えるために、ガラスの表面処理を屋久杉で行う、いわゆる 「屋久杉ガラス」 のユニークな特徴を持っています。
